Team Suzuki Alstare rider Max Neukirchner reached a superb podium in the first race at Valencia circuit, finishing third behind Noriyuki Haga and Michel Fabrizio. He also led the first four laps of race two, but then began to suffer grip problems and he ended seventh. Max Neukirchner:"I think that generally this has been a hard weekend for us and the closeness of the lap times in qualifying didn't make it any easier. We tried many things to make the bike faster and although we improved it, I don't think it was enough. Race one was very good and I was happy to get a podium. We used the same bike in race two, but the bike just didn't work as well as it had done in race one. I managed to lead for the first four laps, but then the grip level went down. Maybe part of the problem was that the track temperature was higher and that affected the characteristics of the bike".

Spanish rider David Salom ended both Valencia Superbike races respectively in nineteenth and twenty-first positions. David Salom :”I can say I'm satisfied with the results of this weekend's work in the sense that I've gained a lot of experience from these two Spanish races. Race one was really very difficult for me. A few laps after the start I felt a lot of chatter coming from the front wheel. The problem only got worse as the race laps continued but I was able to finished the race. In the second race after a good start I felt the same problem we had in the first race. I lost a lot of positions when my rear tire started to lose grip and it was difficult for me finish the race. For sure we’ll be more competitive in the next race”.
In Supersport race another good performance for French rider Matthieu Lagrive. Lagrive leaded the first laps of the race and at the end he reached the sixth place. Matthieu is now in sixth position in Supersport’s championship standing. Matthieu Lagrive : “I’m very angry and disappointed about this race. My start was very good and during the first laps and I was very fast, but starting from the third lap I felt some vibrations coming from my rear wheel, due to a faulty tyre. I couldn’t really chase the riders in front of me and the only thing I could do was try and finish the race as the rear tire had no more grip left at all. I am really very disappointed because we could have fought for a very good result here ". First race of the season for Forma’s riders in Superstock 1000 FIM Cup.
