Danilo Petrucci claims the podium in Race 1 at Portimao

The 2024 season of the FIM Superbike World Championship does not stop in this hot August.

After the success in Most, in the Czech Republic, the show went on at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal, where Formaboots riders shone in a very hot seventh round.

Danilo Petrucci took a beautiful podium in Race 1, the third of this season after the one in the Czech Republic and Australia. In a race won by Razgatlioglu, the rider from Terni was nothing short of majestic, turning on a titanic challenge with the Turkish rider.

Starting from the third position, he caught up with him without hesitation, taking the lead. Leading for several laps, Petrux dictated the pace and, even if in the end the Turk prevailed, crossing the checkered flag first, Danilo took home a second position that is worth a lot as he confirmed himself as the best independent rider on the track.
